GLC is an American rapper from Chicago.

Born in Chicago, Illinois GLC grew up listening to artists such as Scarface and UGK. He met Kanye West in 1993 through a mutual friend, and the two have been best friends ever since.

At the beginning of his rap career GLC had to decide on an alias. He, of course, decided to go with GLC which stands for 'Gangsta L. Crisis'. In 2004 he signed to West's G.O.O.D. Music label, and featured on the song "Spaceship", from West's Grammy award winning album The College Dropout. Two years later he featured on West's second Grammy award winning album Late Registration, appearing on a song called "Drive Slow" which also featured Paul Wall. He is also one quarter of the Chicago rap group The Go Getters, along with West, and label mate Really Doe. They only released one album, the now out of print World Record Holders.
